This policy explains what SALCI collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as needed to run the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share data only with the providers that help operate SALCI, each acting on our behalf:
Where your data does not go. Sports and odds data comes from third parties — the MLB Stats API, Baseball Savant, ESPN, odds-api.io and other odds providers. We only ever request games, players and prices from them; they receive no information about you, not even that you are the person looking. Our nightly database backup, which is stored privately on GitHub, contains model and results tables only — it holds no accounts, no bets, and no personal data of any kind.
These providers are US-based, so using the Service involves transferring and processing your information in the United States.
SALCI is built on statistical and machine-learning models. Scores, projections, probabilities, grades and rankings on this site are produced by those models from public sports data — they are computed, not written by a person, and they can be wrong. Where we have measured a model failing, we publish that too, on our receipts page.
Those models run on sports data, not on you. They are trained and evaluated on player and game statistics. We do not profile you, and no model makes an automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect about you.
We do not send your personal information to any AI provider. The Service does not use a large language model or generative-AI service to process your account, your logged bets, your rosters, or anything else you enter. Generative AI is used by us as a development tool when writing the software itself, which involves our source code rather than your data. If that ever changes, we will say so here before it does.
We use essential cookies for sign-in and session management, and privacy-respecting analytics (PostHog) that records page views and feature usage in your browser's storage to help us improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell your data.
We keep account data while your account is active. You can edit your profile or permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from your Account Settings.
What deletion actually does. Deleting your account removes your login, your profile, your logged bets and parlays, your follows, your alert settings and push address, your saved fantasy rosters and your picks. This is enforced by the database itself, so it cannot be half-done. Two deliberate exceptions: any feedback you sent us is kept with your identity stripped from it, so we do not lose the report; and records we are required to keep for tax and accounting — a record that a payment happened — are retained by our payment provider. Deletion is immediate and we do not keep a shadow copy.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete or object to the processing of your data. SALCI is operated from Spain, so if you are in the EU/UK the GDPR applies: our legal bases are performing our contract with you (running your account and subscription), our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and working, and your consent where you gave it (push alerts, optional emails). You may withdraw consent at any time, and you may complain to your local data protection authority — in Spain, the AEPD. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Data is protected with row-level security, encrypted connections, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
SALCI is not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
